It is becoming an annual tradition for DISTED College to host open house with some sparkle and splendour for the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The open house on 14 Feb started with the lighting of firecrackers by Dr Seah Soo Aun and Dr Jerry Koay, followed by the lion dance performance to bring “Heng”, “Huat” and “Ong” to the college, and concluded with staff playing Kahoot games, and participating in the cultural event of Yee Sang toss.

There was a total of 22 participants in the Kahoot games, congratulations to Ms Zed Zuraida from Student Affairs Unit, Mr Luqman Aliff from the School of Computing and Engineering, Ms Marian Leow from Registry Unit, Ms Raziah from Human Resource and Admin who swiped the highest scores and the Championship was declared to Ms Tan Sue Lin from the School of Business Admin.

Chinese New Year is the most important and ceremonious traditional festival amongst the Chinese community in the world, which is held on the first day of the first lunar month also known as Spring Festival.

The event ended with a simple work out with 勇氣棒嘟嘟 and a group photo.
