PTPTN Study Loan

General Information

Malaysian students enrolled in all MQA accredited diploma and degree programmes are eligible to apply for PTPTN Study Loan. However, the study loan amount will depend on your household income and the programme you are pursuing.

Do bear in mind that the study loan amount obtained may not be able to cover the full cost of your tuition fees. In this instance, you are advised to make alternative arrangements so that the semester tuition fees due are paid in full and paid on time.

Guidelines For Applying
  1. Online loan application is available through the website: http://www.ptptn.gov.my
  2. Applicants can obtain their PIN Number through any Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN). The PIN number cost RM5.00 and is valid for 6 months from the date of the first application.
  3. General Requirement:
    • Possess an entry qualification as stipulated by the college.
    • Compulsory to open a SSPN-i (Skim Simpanan Pendidikan Nasional) account at UTC (Komtar) and also open a saving account at CIMB Bank.
    • Courses approved by Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi and no other sponsorship.
    • Study period MORE than 1 year ONLY applicable for Diploma and Degree programs.
  4. All approved programmes will have application period as follows:-

Steps To Follow When Applying
  1. Complete the application form online and submit
  2. PTPTN will process your application
  3. If your application is approved, an email will be sent to inform you
  4. Print out the agreement (2 sets) on 80g A4 paper
  5. Use ball pen (BLACK INK) only to sign on the appropriate pages (if unsure, check with staff-in-charge at DISTED)
  6. Write in Capital Letters and use Numeric for Dates
  7. NO liquid paper/tape to be used for correction
  8. Buy Stem Hasil from Post Office – RM10 x 2 pieces
  9. Get ready 2 sets of hardcopy of the agreement together with a copy of your admission letter to DISTED College
  10. Submit the above to the staff-in-charge of PTPTN in DISTED College
Agreement Guidelines
  1. Download agreement from PTPTN website and print (2sets) on A4 Paper (80g).
  2. Use ball pen (BLACK INK) only to sign the agreement.
  3. Write in Capital Letter and use Numeric for Dates.
  4. NO liquid paper to be used for correction.
  5. Buy Stem Hasil – 2 pieces (RM10 X 2 pcs) – from (Post Office).
  6. Submit the hardcopy of agreements to the College person in-charge within the deadline.
IMPORTANT Note:
  1. Incomplete application forms and inaccurate information will NOT be accepted by PTPTN
  2. Continuation of PTPTN Study Loan is subject to student’s semester examination results and meeting the requirement.
